# Magni Map

> Magni Map is a web map of the whole world that zooms from countries down to individual neighbourhoods (for example World › Turkey › Ankara › Çankaya › Bahçelievler). Each neighbourhood has one sheriff badge. Anyone can claim an empty badge for $1 and keep it for 30 days. Taking over a badge that someone holds costs double what they paid. Magni Map is made by Magnifica Labs.

## Rules

- Only neighbourhoods can have a sheriff. A neighbourhood is the smallest administrative area, with no smaller area inside it; in Turkey these are mahalleler. Countries, provinces and districts are only used for navigation.
- An empty neighbourhood costs $1.00 (USD).
- A sheriff keeps the badge for 30 days from the moment they claim it.
- While a sheriff's term is running, anyone can take the badge by paying double what the sitting sheriff paid ($1 → $2 → $4 → $8 …). Each takeover starts a new 30-day term for the new sheriff.
- When a term ends without a takeover, the badge is empty again and the price goes back to $1.
- If two people pay for the same badge at the same time, the first payment that arrives wins. The second payment is refunded in full automatically.
- A sheriff chooses the name shown on the badge, 2 to 32 characters. The name, the price paid and the dates are public. Email addresses are never shown.
- Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record, which also takes care of VAT and sales tax. Magni Map never sees card details.
